FENSA (Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme) was set up by the Glass & Glazing Federation (GGF) and other industry bodies to help window and door companies in England & Wales meet Building Regulations.
Whenever windows or doors are replaced, homeowners need to make sure the work meets current thermal performance standards and that they receive a certificate — either from FENSA or from their Local Authority Building Control. FENSA allows approved installers to self-certify that their work complies with these regulations, without homeowners needing to arrange a separate Building Control inspection.
